earSHOTS
We love to play games and listen to music, but we also like being active and outdoors. Skateboarding, bike riding, bushwalking, basketball and so forth. What we like about the earSHOTS is that they are good for both. They offer solid, balanced sound with surprising bass, but aren’t inserted right into your ears. This means you can still hear what is going on around you. What’s cool is that the clip loops around your ear and then locks into place via a magnet. As such, they don’t fall off when you’re moving about. They’re weatherproof, too, comfortable and have a mic so you can talk on the phone.

AMD Radeon RX 6600
It’s been a tough year for high end PC gaming. Not because of a lack of games, but because computer parts – in particular, graphics cards – have been super expensive during COVID. But if you don’t have a high-end monitor or TV to play on, you don’t really need a top-end graphics card. This latest offering from AMD is focused on producing the best possible 1080p (or HD) gaming. And it does a great job at it, too. It’s fast, it’s efficient and its cheaper. Plus, you can put all the visuals setting to maximum and it doesn’t skip a beat.

Nanoleaf
We love Nanoleaf’s range of lighting options. The million-colours of these LED lights can turn any gaming or TV room into a theatre like experience. You can connect it all to an app to control remotely, changing the way the colours behave and how they’re impacted by things like sound and touch. There’s a range of shapes to experiment with, from hexagons to triangles to squares, which you can combine to create unique patterns. There’s also lines, strips and bulbs. Setup is simple and it doesn’t require you to do any damage your walls, either.

Kobo Sage
If you want to have thousands of books and audiobooks in your bag to use whenever you want, then the Kobo Sage is just the ticket. This waterproof, 8-inch, 300ppi eReader uses the latest E Ink Carta screen to create an easy and customisable reading experience. It plugs straight into the Kobo and Booktopia stores, meaning there’s near endless books you can grab at a moment’s notice. If you get the stylus accessory, you can even write on the pages of books or leave your own notes, too. It’s a little on the big side, however, so can be a bit more awkward to hold than the Kobo Libra.

Thronmax Mdrill One
If you’re on the way to becoming an influencer on YouTube, TikTok and the like, then you must invest in good audio. Nothing makes your content feel professional like good audio. The Thronmax Mdrill One is an awesome looking microphone you can sit on your desk or attach to accessories like the Zoom or Caster stand. It records at 16-bit / 48 kHz which is excellent and has four recording modes so you can use it for multiple experiences. It works with a PC, Mac or PS5 and we love the little RGB light on its bottom. A fantastic option.

Wacom Clintiq Pro 16
If you love to draw, then the Clintiq Pro 16 could be a game changer for you. It’s a 4K touchscreen tablet that comes with a digital pen and it allows you to draw your pictures on it like you would on paper, but they’re in digital form. This allows you to use art programs like Photoshop in a more realistic way, as instead of using a mouse and keyboard, you can draw in the program with the pen. The tablet comes wit 14 nibs to give your pen flexibility and longevity, and there’s handy buttons just under the screen you can program to do quick actions. This tablet can take your art to the next level.
