It was a wild night in Las Vegas as this year’s Money in the Bank went down in Nevada. After the dust settled, it was Theory and Liv Morgan who emerged triumphant.
Liv Morgan def. Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Shotzi, Raquel Rodriquez and Lacey Evans (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)
Our fave bit: When Irish lassie Becky Lynch climbed a ladder and then leg-dropped Asuka through another ladder. We thought she had the contract for sure but Morgan re-grouped with a save to become Miss Money in the Bank.
Bobby Lashley def. Theory to win the United States Championship
Our fave bit: When the mighty Lashley lifted Theory above his head, like a weight-lifting bar in the gym, before flipping him over and smashing him into the mat.
Bianca Belair def. Carmella to retain the Raw Women’s Championship
Our fave bit: When the EST of WWE unloaded 10 straight right-handed strikes on Carmella.
The Usos def. The Street Profits to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Our fave bit: When The Profits landed a massive Double Blockbuster onto Jimmy Uso but, not to be outdone, they hit the 1-D on Ford.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey def. Natalya;
Liv Morgan def. Ronda Rousey to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Our fave bit: We felt sorry for Rousey when Natalya targeted her leg, showing no mercy as she worked over her weak points. So when The Baddest Woman on the Planet managed to roll out of her grip and smack her opponent into the ring post we were cheering. But it wasn’t to be for Rousey as Liv Morgan wasted no time cashing in her Money in the Bank suitcase to snatch the title.
Theory def. Drew McIntyre, Madcap Moss, Omos, Riddle, Sami Zayn, Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and Sheamus (Money in the Bank Ladder Match)
Our fave bit: It was fun watching four from each brand slug it out and, when Riddle performed a Floating Bro from the top of the ladder, to knock everyone over like a bowling ball smashing pins, our jaws dropped.
