The latest Spider-man games may have been blowing people away on PlayStation, but there was a series of superhero titles that came before them that were just as epic.
They were a bit darker and scarier, but they showed gamers what great superhero stories, combat and open-worlds could be. They were the three Batman games by developer Rocksteady Studios. Not only do these games look fantastic, but they tell amazing stories starring the villains and heroes of Gotham City. They made great use of Batman’s gadgets and didn’t ignore his expert detective capabilities. There were stacks of sidequests and collectables.
But best of all was the combat, which was fluid, varied and really made you feel like an awesome crime fighter as you levelled-up your abilities. How good then that you can now get all three of these great games on Switch with improved visuals! And in one bundle! It’s a bit more mature than Spider-man, however, so be warned.
