If you love anime like Dragon Ball, then this game’s beautiful visuals will surely have caught your eye. But it’s also a spectacular open-world action-RPG.
As the main character Beelzebub, you lead your party across the desert on a mission to find a legendary water spring, and take out an evil king. What helps make this game stand out, is the mix of gameplay styles. In town you have your home base, which you can customise and furnish.
To get around the desert you can carry up to five vehicle capsules. When used a car, which is also customisable and upgradeable, appears. They’re fun not just for getting around, but also in combat. On foot, combat is melee focused, with light and heavy attacks merging into epic combos, as well as sideways and mid-air doges. You’ll charge up abilities and even use stealth attacks.
There’s a deep upgrade path, too, allowing you to just build out Beelzebub’s abilities, but those of his friends as well. But we most love the game’s sense of scale.
