Multiversus is a Super Smash Bros. like 2v2 fighting game that stars characters from the Warner Bros movie catalogue. This includes DC Comics, Scooby Doo, Looney Tunes, Adventure Time, Tom & Jerry, and plenty more. Over 20 characters, in fact. This month a sequel of sorts comes out. It’s not really a new game, but instead a full version of the original game that only ever launched in beta form.

It features upgraded visuals having moved to Unreal Engine 5, and adds new moves and animations for every single character, providing a lot more combat depth. There’s extra characters and maps as well, including new franchises like Powerpuff Girls and Dexter’s Laboratory.

Also, a PVE mode has been added to the main 2v2 mode. It joins the likes of 1v1 and free-for all modes to offer a deeper range of experiences. The game is free-to-play, so there are some monetisation gremlins to deal with. But the core gameplay is definitely fun, and the cool cast of characters have been shown plenty of love.
