What’s the story?
Gru, the world’s favourite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mischief. In this fourth instalment of the Despicable Me movie series, Gru, Lucy, and their girls —Margo, Edith, and Agnes —welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. If that wasn’t drama enough, Gru also faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal and his girlfriend Valentina, and the family is forced to go on the run, take on new identities, and begin new lives in the picturesque town of Mayflower.

Gru
Gru’s life is turned upside down with the arrival of a new baby, expanding his role to a father of four and a dedicated Anti-Villain League (AVL) agent. Life with Lucy and the girls is the best it’s ever been, but being a dad to his new baby son while also trying to save the world is proving to be trickier than he expected.
Lucy
In this film Lucy tries her hand at hairdressing, but while Lucy is skilled at parenting and safeguarding her loved ones, the art of hairstyling presents a new challenge for her.
Margot
Gru’s eldest adopted daughter is dealing with the scary task of starting a new school while also trying to deal with being a teenager.
Edith
Gru’s spirited middle daughter enthusiastically tackles the challenges of starting over in a new town.
Agnus
Gru’s youngest daughter is struggling in the new town mainly because she is sad that her pet goat, Lucky, couldn’t make the move with them.
The new faces
Gru Jr.
Gru Jr., is the youngest addition to Gru and Lucy’s family. While he loves the company of his mother and sisters, Gru Jr. is not bonding with Gru, preferring to torment his father whenever he can.
Maxime
Maxime Le Mal is Gru’s longstanding high school nemesis. After Gru embarrasses Maxime by having him arrested at the class reunion, Maxime’s anger towards Gru grows to the point where getting revenge is all he can think about.
Perry Prescott
Perry, is Poppy’s father and Gru’s new neighbour. At the persistence of his wife, Patsy, Perry reluctantly invites Gru to his posh country club for a game of tennis—a decision Perry quickly regrets.
Poppy Prescott
Poppy, is Gru’s new teenage neighbour who dreams of becoming a supervillain. Poppy is obsessed with all things villainous and blackmails Gru into helping her pull off a robbery.
Valentina
Valentina, was the most popular femme fatale at Lycee Pas Bon School of Villainy and is now Maxime’s girlfriend.
Mega Minions
While Gru and his family have relocated to the lovely town of Mayflower to live a new life with new identities, some of the Minions find themselves with new identities of their own back at the Anti-Villain League (AVL) Headquarters. When Silas Ramsbottom, the leader of the AVL, selects five Minions to receive a super serum that will help them go head-to-head against Maxime, the result is the world’s newest and most chaotic superheroes: the Mega Minions. Mega Dave has the power of super strength, Mega Tim can stretch over a mile long, Mega Mel can unleash an unstoppable laser blast capable of slicing through a planet, Mega Gus can take flight and Mega Jerry has assumed the shape and indestructible nature of a boulder, able to chow down on anything in his path.
