Tentacular VR a cartoon-like puzzle game that has a simple story, and a truly bizarre setting. You find yourself on the island of La Kaima, or actually, in the water next to it. You play a giant ocean creature with giant tentacles. You’ve been brought up by the good people on the island, and your task is to help the research and understand a strange new power. But being that all you have is giant tentacles, often enough you cause chaos and destruction. The story is text-based, but often quite funny. And the gameplay is focused on doing action-based puzzles using the giant tentacle arms you wave across the screen. There’s a good variety of puzzles that require different kinds of thinking and skills, so you’re constantly kept engaged. The controls work well, too, even if a few sections can get frustrating (especially when you have to throw things). Once you do the story and sidequests, there’s a sandbox mode you can fool around in, ensuring this game is good value for money.
