Tech Head – August 2022

EPOS H3PRO Hybrid
The new H3PRO doesn’t make huge leaps over its already great predecessor, but they’re important steps. The latency has been improved, meaning what you hear and say happens even closer to real time. The active and passive noise cancellation has been tweaked, ensuring all you can hear is the game for total immersion. A fresh design retains the great over ear comfortability and detachable mic, but adds a cool new Racing Green or Ghost White finish. Add 30-hours of battery life and Bluetooth, and you have a top headset for all experiences on all devices.

Xencelabs Pen Tablet
This new entry in the art tablet scene is pretty awesome, giving you a premium finish at a good price. As well as the tablet itself, it comes with two different sized art pens and a range of tips, as well as a cover and remote that gives you a keyboard shortcut experience. It can be used in wireless mode (16-hour battery), but you do need to connect it to a PC or Mac and use it in a program like Photoshop. Your picture on the tablet itself. But the experience is amazing, with 1:1 pick up of the pen, and brilliant pressure sensitivity.

Oppo A96
Sick or breaking or losing expensive phones. The Oppo A96 is cheap, yet still does a good job. Its large 6.59” screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate and a good resolution. It’s got the performance required to play games with no worries as well, and even offers decent sound. We love the long battery life and quick charging. The camera is ok, with 50MP back and 16MP selfie lenses, but you don’t get digital zoom or wide angle. Still, this is good value for money.
