Story: In the latest installment of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy film trilogy, we continue on from the traumatic events from the previous movie. In the finale of this particular Marvel Cinematic Universe story arc, the galaxy’s favourite group of misfit intergalactic heroes is back for one last adventure. Fearless leader, Peter Quill, despite recent loss, must find strength and inspire the Guardians of the Galaxy to not only defend the universe, but, also protect their world. If the team fails, it could very well mean the end of the Guardians as we know and love.

In 2014, Guardians of the Galaxy made over $772 million worldwide and was the highest-grossing movie of the year. The 2017 sequel grossed over $863 million worldwide.
The working title for the new movie was reportedly, “Hot Christmas”.
For the role of Groot, Vin Diesel voiced the line “I am Groot” thousands of times in multiple ways and at least 16 different languages. ‘Groot’ means “big” in Dutch, Afrikaans and Flemish.
Actor (and former wrestler), Dave Bautista’s makeup team spent five hours every day applying 18 prosthetic tattoo pieces and body makeup for his role of Drax.
Other actors considered for the role of Peter Quill included Joel Edgerton, Eddie Redmayne, Zachary Levi, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
