Not to miss out on the fun, Italian EV startup Laffite Automobili has announced that it’s stepping up its game with its own all-terrain powerhouse, the all-electric Atrax HyperSUV!
The 2024 Laffite Automobili Atrax is not just an SUV, it combines killer class and daring design, making it perfect for competition and road use, in fact anywhere it can carve its own path!
The first of its kind ever, this ultra off-roader is the first SUV to be constructed around a central carbon monocoque – a chassis paired with an advanced pushrod double wishbone suspension setup – and massive off-road wheels running Pirelli Scorpion ATR tyres!
Measuring 5 metres long and 2 metres wide, its bodywork brags massive flared exposed carbon wheel arches, a mobile rear wing, and a height-adjustable aerodynamic diffuser which automatically lowers at high speeds – optimizing performance to the max! Here a trio of hydraulic suspension settings with different ride heights can all be selected from the steering wheel!
The carbon heavy race-inspired luxury interior features a unique 2+1 seating configuration and a fixed driver’s seat. But at the guts of this raised beast is an electric powertrain that generates 1,151 horsepower and 1,844ft-lbs of torque, allowing for a 241 km/h top speed and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds! Linked to a high-strength aluminum gearbox, this powertrain draws from a battery with a 442 km range and charges up in only 20 minutes!
Limited to just 26 units across all countries, the Laffite Automobili Atrax HyperSuv is scheduled to begin deliveries in early 2024 at a bargain price of over $2 million!
Laffite Automobili plan to produce a Baja and Dakar rally spec version in the future, but for now – we have all the hype we can handle!
